The solar panels which collect energy from the sun for the National Grid, also power the sculpture.

Solar powered kinetic sculpture situated in Nightingale School, Haringey. Sun dance is based on the solar system including the hydrogen atom. When the sun shines energy from the solar panels rotates the spheres which slow and stop when it clouds over or rains.
